Bible Translation – We used the standardized orthography of Nigerian Pidgin to translate the Holy Bible into the language. The translation is for millions of people who speak and understand Nigerian Pidgin.

It will help them read and understand God’s message in their heart language which is a language that they use in interacting with each other. It will also help non speakers of Nigerian Pidgin learn how to speak and read the language.

We desire that you as a speaker of Nigerian Pidgin will understand the value of reading the Holy Bible in the language that is popular and common to you and millions of other Nigerians. Many people do not have access to a Bible translation in a language they speak and understand very well. We aspire to change that.

Bible translation work is very detailed and requires a certain type of tenacity and passion to produce a translation that is as accurate, clear, and as natural as possible through the discernment given to us by the Holy Spirit.

We endeavor always to communicate as exactly as possible the meaning of the original text of the word of God into Nigerian Pidgin. We want to be absolutely at peace that the translation is clear and conveys the originally intended meaning of the word in a way that could be easily understood by all readers, regardless of educational background.

We respect the grammatical rules of the receptor language and try to ensure that the words selected would make sense to the Nigerian Pidgin speaker. In other words, we use natural everyday words the Nigerian Pidgin speaker would use in conversation while preserving the originally intended meaning of the word.
